An explanation

Dear all/any

I've at last made the move from blog.de (not sure why I was there in the first place, if I'm honest) to a recognised, English blogging site. Whether this will affect the quality, quantity or frequency of my posts, I'm not sure.. but it might fill me with a new lease of enthusiasm to let the world know what I'm up to, if nothing else. So yes, it is a perfectly selfish move. You may soon come to the conclusion that much of what I do is. But if you're still reading, then you either don't hold this opinion because you're my friend, or you don't hold this opinion - yet.

Anyway. I suppose I should give you the lowdown. This blog is mostly going to be my rant-page, but I shall aim to at least relate it to its (if I may say so) rather witty title.
In case you hadn't got it, here's why it's witty:
1) I like Romans, being a Classics student and all
2) I live in Oxford (or rather, I study in Oxford. Just for the record, I actually 'live' in Cambridge. Oh, the irony)
3) I do like a little bit of a wander from time to time, of the real and thought-related variety
4) If you say it right, 'Romans' sounds a bit like 'romance', and I'm a hopeless romantic. Interestingly enough.

Sadly, my wit did not flow long enough for me to encompass all my passions in one cunningly-title blog, so you'll just have to take as read my passion for baking, rowing, Greek, Jane Austen and tea parties.

Here's to a long and happy relationship with my new blog, and all you lovelies who are going to (I hope) read it. Amen.
